Could going from one religion to the next a lot be a symptom of a mental illness?

Could be, but if you feel that mental illness is devined by the desire to “find” your self to such an extent that you keep on getting an emotional turmoil and can’t find peace in yourself… okay, maybe true.

As young people we search for our identities, find ourselfes in some crazy subculture and try and “find” ourselfes. Considered normal.

As the dust settles, we realise that we fall into categories of sexual orientation, religion or convictions.

I think if you “stick too long with a religion, you become it…” and you might get mentally ill because the religion might be filled with too rigid demands.

Go to too many religions, you might realise that you have a broader view on life, but you stand your ground, learn and don’t lose yourself.

Going along with too many religions, internalizing too many opinions without forming your own, you might get stuck with a mental illness, if that is your definition of it.
