A great movie!
There are people on a planet. Also robots called screamers.
These robots started to make themselves, even after a war was over. They were programmed to kill people.
To blend in, they took the form of kids and adults and this heightens paranoia. Who is your friend? Is a child a danger that will gobble you up?
In the end a beautiful woman was a robot that was made of flesh and blood.
She became kind, that was against her programming. Instead of killing the main character, she fell in love.
This raises questions. Can we go against our own 'programmed' nature?
What is our nature?
How does one person's nature differ from another's?
What is love?
The last question seems the emergent property that we have acquired, something that these robots started to get.
This makes me think of AI, I personally don't think it has the 'missing ingredient' to make it feel love or make it a property that emerged out of our cellular biology.
And lastly, what is this 'missing ingredient?'
