Minotaur, the beast in man.

Why do you have seemingly silly stories of a bull with a human body in the Greek myths?
According to Freud it is a childhood trauma that pops up in your awareness (like being bullied or overly strict parents). You cannot pinpoint it exactly.
I think we have our traumas that take symbolic forms and it is expressed in knots in our stomachs and in our literatures.
Killing the beast is actually facing what bugs us.
What sometimes happens is that we externalize this monster that resides in our memories and we see it in others.
That's why you get fanatics (fascists, extinction rebellion, ministers, do-gooders and even saintly men) that blame others for the evils in the world, while it resides within them.
